Losing Weight Hard…Here’s Why?

One of the things I regret for so many years is that I never knew why losing weight and building lean muscle mass was so hard. I just kept with the same workout day-in and day-out without finding out why.

From a couple embarrassing months let me let you the five most common mis takes people make when they just can’t seem to lose weight:

1) Doing the same workout.

Because all I wanted to do is build muscle and burn fat I did a kick butt program that left me tried every time I left the gym. Soon it became easy for me and I kept the same exercises, reps and intensity because it worked for me before and it should work again. Boy was I wrong!

When beginning new and different exercise program results began to happen just like before and that is when a personal trainer told me about adaptation. We must change everything about how we eat exercise and even life to keep our bodies adjusting as we were created to adapt. Change up your exercise program and results are soon aorund the corner.

2) Distractions.

Do you go to the gym with friends or meet people their that just make you go half speed because of conversation. It happens to so many people and conversation or the buddy system is not wrong but find someone that will motivate you and you can motivate them as well. The gym is not the funest place to be so get in and get out with everything you needed to get accomplished.

3) Machines.

I might be stepping on some toes here but machines hold people back from real results of lean muscle, weight loss and range of motion. Machines are get to get started on but they limited the amount of work the person is able to do as the machines provide the range of motion and stabilization. When using free weights and stabilizing exercises other muscles must be used and recruited for complete stabilization and range of motion as the muscle are creating the motion. Machines limit results and should be used seldomly in the gym.

4) Food intake.

At least 65% of people under guess the amount of calories they eat daily by more than 500 calories that shows why gaining weight is so popular. Without the proper amount of nutrients, fiber and micro-nutrients the body get hungry faster as the body is not recieving its daily needs. Our bodies are not searching for calories but nutrients in proper porportion of carbs, proteins and fats with vitamins and minerals coming from these nutrients. When nutrients are not given to the body the body gets hungry and that is when usually people eat more than the body needs.

The conclusion to this problem is take multi-vitamins and eat a balance amount of every food to give the body what it needs.

5) Keeping with it.

95% of people that start a weight loss program and lose weight gain it back in one to three years depending on their lifestyle. The big thing every year is the “New Years Resolution” but I have to be onest it dies off faster than people build themselves up for it. This year take your life in your own hands and change your body for a healthier lifestyle that will lead to feeling, looking and people treatment to you better. This is your year so make the commitment to change your life.

Have a great day and God bless!
