Morning Munches Having You Over Eating
Thursday, 15 November 2007
Most people can be put into two groups that don’t eat break as they are never hungry and those that wake up and splurge with breakfast foods. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day but without balance and correct nutrients, it hinders our eating throughout the day.
When first beginning to eat breakfast it usually is easy just to have a bagel or a piece of fruit before you go off to work or school but for some reason this morning hunger builds up out of no where. Why is this and how can I get it to go away?
Reason You May Never Feel Full
Hyperthyroidism. A reason for never feeling full could be that you have hyperthyroidism or in other words just an overactive thyroid. I pray this is not the case of you never feeling full but this condition is increasing among people around the world. Basically, the gland will send out too many hormones that regulate your metabolism causing your body to be a calorie burning machine. Some signs to look for are sleeping problems, nervousness, fatigue, frequent bowel movements and heat tolerance
Sometimes this gland will send out too many of the hormones that regulate your metabolism, causing you to burn through calories like crazy. Do you also have trouble sleeping and feel kind of nervous for no obvious reason?
Evening food limiting. When beginning to lose weight, eat healthy and changing every aspect of your life, one thing that is told to people even when wrong is to not eat after dinner. Not eating after dinner will put your body into starvation mode have you burning less calories and waking up feeling like you haven’t ate in days.
Eat something very small that will barely satisfy you two to three hours before you go to bed. This will cause your body to keep burning calories and balance your insulin levels so you are not so hungry in the morning.
Live to eat. This is the mindset of so many people as what we should be doing is not living to eat but eat to live. Thinking of food all the time is why most are always hungry as seeing, smelling and tasting produce a hormone in your body that will cause you to get hungry. As much as possible, stay away from food.
Overcome Over Eating
Eat slowly. Eating too fast will have your body sending you the full feeling after you have consumed too much in one sitting. Try eating very slowly like only using half of your fork and spoon even though it sounds dumb it is a very powerful trick for portion management.
Monitor your portions. Overeating is caused by starting out with larger food portions than really needed. Try just eating portion sizes the size of your fist put together and you will be surprise how much food you don’t need to eat.
Enjoy your food. Make a list of foods you love to eat that will satisfy you as well. Diets usually force people to eat food they get sick of that makes eating never enjoyable so when they eat good food they overeat. Pick a wide variety of healthy foods you love and could eat constantly.
Have a great day and God bless!
