Top Weight Loss Site Holiday Weight Loss Plan
I hope Thanksgiving was a great break from our very stressful lives as sitting down with family for most of us is a great event that really points out what we can be thankful for. What a great experience when family and food are put together as nothing beats great cooking and desserts with family.
It was a challenge but five out of twelve of my clients were able to stay the same weight and two even lost a pound or two during the holiday. You might think losing weight and exercising is impossible but that is far from the truth. Not only did they still lose weight but they got to enjoy what they ate without regret for the most part.
Weight Loss Holiday Tips
Weight Loss Tip 1: Stay active. The best thing you can do is try to stick to your normal schedule and routine. When family and friends come together get exercise can be one of the most difficult things you will ever try to do, so the solution is get someone to exercise with you and keep you accountable. Just keep your regular exercise routine and try walking after meals with a friend or family member.
Weight Loss Tip 2: Don’t let yourself get too hungry. When you become hungry this increases your risk of over-eating and eating unhealthy foods. Focus on eating small frequent meals throughout the day to keep your hunger and cravings satisfied.
Weight Loss Tip 3: Stay away from the food. This may seem like a difficult thing to do but the point is to eliminate all temptation from your eyes and nose so you will not think about food. Play games, talk with family and focus on things that will help keep your mind off food and on to what really matters anyway.
Weight Loss Tip 4: Keep your portions small. While doing your best to stay away from the food for losing weight and eating healthy, you have to eat some time and that is why the key to weight loss during the holidays is small portions. Eat several times throughout the day but eat small frequent meals that will keep your metabolism accelerated towards turning your body into a fat burning machine.
Weight Loss Tip 5: Exercise frequently. Grap a friend or family member and go on a walk as exercise will help your body feeling satisfied faster while aiding in the digestion process. My uncle and I always head off the gym once in awhile so we keep our bodies active and burning the foods that we love to eat. Exercising during the holidays is one of the best ideas to take your mind off eating while spending time with a person that is close to you.
With all the choices of foods make a list of which ones you like that are for the most part unhealthy and see if there is something else you like that could replace it.
Questions to ask yourself:
- What foods will provide the same satisfaction without the fat and carbs?
- Foods you will settle for that are not your absolute favorite?
- What foods do you need to eliminate?
- When do I need to stop eating?
Asking yourself these powerful questions is what needs to be done for frequent moderate eating during the holidays for weight loss. Burning fat can this take place even when food and family are around but you must be able to control yourself and even plan ahead so the actions you take will have your body burning fat instead of storing it.
Have a great day and God bless!
